66th Armor Regiment (United States) : ウィキペディア英語版
66th Armor Regiment

The 66th Armor Regiment is the oldest armored unit in the United States Army, tracing its lineage to the beginning of the Tank Corps in February 1918 under the command of Col. George S. Patton; it was first activated in the Regular Army as the 66th Infantry Regiment (Light Tanks).
==Current disposition==
One battalion of the regiment is still in service in the Regular Army.
*1–66 AR is assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Carson. The First Battalion has participated in combat operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom and in Operation Enduring Freedom.
*3–66 AR was assigned to the 172nd Infantry Brigade (Separate) and garrisoned at Grafenwoehr, Germany. The unit was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 08-10 in Kurkush, Iraq and Diyala province. Additionally, Task Force 3-66 AR completed a deployment to Paktika Province, Afghanistan from July 2011 to June 2012. Task Force 3-66 AR deactivated along with its parent headquarters, the 172nd Separate Infantry Brigade, in June 2013. At the time of deactivation, it was the last U.S. Army armor formation on the European Continent. It is planned to reactivate as a Combined Arms Battalion (CAB) at Fort Riley, Kansas as part of the 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division in the fall of 2014.
